About the Design Minority tax (or cultural tax, or minority taxation) is a term that refers to extra emotional and/or actual labour that minorities have to carry out every day. For example, explaining racism to colleagues at the coffee machine, organizing diversity events at the office, or taking notes at meetings (women disproportionally organize meetings, bring coffee, and yes also take notes, even when in senior positions).
